The reduced weight of the valves and valve caps allows for very high engine speeds without using excessively loaded valve springs. This translates into less energy wasted compressing them and less wear on the rocker arms and camshaft.

The valve profile also improves chamber filling. Tested up to 14,500 rpm, with a generous safety factor it is possible to reach 12,500 rpm without incurring any “flickering”.
